Classes at Strand College of Hair Design begin each month. You can apply online today and begin working towards your future in a matter of days or weeks! You can apply and register for your desired class start date as classes fill up quickly!
Individuals wishing to APPLY to Strand College of HAIR DESIGN must complete the following requirements to be considered for acceptance.
- Application process will not be complete unless letters of reference, essay and application fee ($50) and enrollment fee of ($150) as well as proof of education are received.
- Schedule an appointment with an admissions officer. An interview is required with each applicant.
- Furnish proof of your former education. Strand College of HAIR DESIGN requires that each student provide a copy of his or her transcript along with the high school diploma or GED. All applicants must be at least 17 years of age.
- Student must write an essay about why they want to become a professional in their chosen field. In addition, two (2) letters of personal recommendation must be received by the Admissions Office and family members are non-eligible.
- Fill out an application for admissions form. Return with all paperwork and Application Fee.
NOTE: Candidates for the Instructor Training program must also have a current cosmetology, manicuring, or esthetics license issued by the S.C. State Board of Cosmetology and have taken or will take a Methods of Teaching Course (45 Hour) before completion of the Teacher Training Course.
